These are the terms for using Final Version during the beta. We've kept them short and plain. By signing in, you agree to them. "We" means the people who run Final Version, and "you" means you.

Your drafts are yours

You keep all rights to what you write and upload. You let us store, copy, and show it only to run the service for you and the people you share with. We don't sell it, and we don't use it to train AI. Privacy explains what we keep and who can see it.

What you agree to

• Only upload content you have the right to share.
• Only share drafts with people who should see them. Anyone you share a draft with can read, edit, and export it.
• Don't use Final Version for anything illegal, harmful, or abusive, or to send spam.
• Don't try to break, overload, or get around the limits of the service, or to reach other people's drafts.
• Keep your Google account secure. What happens under your sign-in is your responsibility.

ChatGPT and Claude

If you connect ChatGPT or Claude, they act on your behalf with the same access you have. Their own terms cover what they do with your text. Check what your AI sends before you rely on it.

It's a beta

• Final Version is free during the beta. If we start charging, we'll tell you first, and nothing you already use will be charged without your agreement.
• The service is provided as is. Things may change, break, or be unavailable, and data can be lost. Export anything you can't afford to lose.
• To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, or for lost data, work, or profits, from using the beta.

Ending things

• You can stop anytime. Export your data from the Me page, and email us to delete your account.
• We may suspend access that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. We may also end the beta, and if we do, we'll give you notice and time to export.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell people in the beta before it applies. If you keep using Final Version after that, the new terms apply.
